Welcome to Ice’s Produce, in Bardstown, KY—the location of this week’s Friday Foto. The good people here, which ranges in 1-4, depending on current employment, is where you go to get your produce, milk duds and agriculture supplies, should you happen to be “in town.”
We just happened to be “in town” on a morning stroll when we came upon this place, and it seemed to have its own unique charm to it. Sort of a hidden gem amongst a lot of historical buildings just off the square there in Bardstown. Now we didn’t really need any agricultural supplies at the time this shot was taken. Nor did we really need produce, since we were headed to brunch just down the sidewalk. Did you know that Bardstown is the Bourbon capital of the WORLD? Yeah, me neither before this little trip up there. Something about those people and how they deal with life . . .
If you are ever close by Bardstown, KY, please prepare us a fun future conversation for driving “in town” and checking it out. It is quaint and charming and will get a hold of you if you stay more than 15 minutes. And just in case you need some hog feed, some romaine lettuce and a Dr. Pepper, you now know a pretty cool place that you can get it.
