Friday Foto #7

For Friday Foto #7, we travel to sunny Southern California, where this was taken a few years ago at Balboa Park while we were on vacation visiting the twin. Why you ask, did I take this picture, and feel it is worthy of a Friday Foto post? Well, this to me has a lot of cool things about it—the texture of the cover itself, the sprayed type on it, and the grass that frames it in an irregular way. All these things add up to an everyday object suddenly becoming cool, that otherwise would not be noticed if just dull and bland. And I’m all about the everyday object being observed, or everyday people. Just ask me about the new postman and his daily subpar performance compared to the amazing person he replaced.

So what is the point here? Every once in a while, stop and look at something that you normally take for granted, and maybe you, just like me on this particular day, will see beauty, interest and coolness in something you would not have even glanced at before.
