HOME ADDITION/REMODEL—Week 20

Well friends and neighbors, we have arrived at week 20 of the life consuming project. Or rather the end of it. This past week was not a week where we took any photos, but that is only because we spent the majority of most days painting (some days 12 hours +) and doing little tasks in order to have the house more livable and be presentable for my inlaws to come stay in. By no means is the house finished, and there is still work to be done in every room, but we worked our butts off to get it to the point where Joe and Carolyn could stay here for Thanksgiving and we made it.

So most of the week was painting, and the beginning of staining, as well as getting more fixtures hung and electrical work done inside and out. We picked up our new butcher block counter top and installed it yesterday, so be on the lookout soon for new photos and you can see that and were we are on everything else.

It is getting quite close. So close, in every room, and hopefully, week 21 will be the last full week where we have people in the house doing construction work. So, tune in next week and check our photos and where we are on all this. Thanks for hanging with us all these weeks and months and for the encouraging responses to these posts a few of you have made. They have made my day every time I read one.

What!? No Friday Turkey Photo? Ha! Hope your time with the in-laws is good. Sounds like you have light at the end of the construction tunnel...woo-hoo!
