Cool little Casita

Meet my sister in law Kerri Charlton and her husband Chuck. Meet Kerri and Chucks new Casita camper, which is their latest outdoor toy. They got the itch to get something like this recently while visiting my father in law (Kerri's dad) and spending some time in his camper. Then Chuck started researching smaller campers and settled on this brand. He found this one close to his parents who live outside of Houston and got it for a great price given how great a condition it's in.

They drove from VA to Nashville and stayed for a night, then drove to TX for a week of visits and getting the camper, then back to Nashville on the return voyage which is what you see in the photos above. I really enjoyed seeing the design and engineering that is invested by the company that makes them. Anytime I see evidence of great thinking in small packages I am very impressed, and this was no exception. Very clever ways of packing in all the features and amenities of much larger campers, just on a smaller scale.

Kristi and I had a great visit with the Charltons and enjoyed our time checking out the new Casita. Their plan is to use it as much as possible now and once they retire, to travel full-time in it for a few years before figuring out their next move. Until then, they have plenty of time to just enjoy shorter adventures in their new miniature home away from home. At some point the 4 of us may try to do a trip together with it and if opportunity knocks, we'll answer.
