Well, from one anniversary camping trip photo to another is the way it goes with this week’s
Friday Foto. This shot comes hot off the press—or the camera rather—from our most recent trip to
Fort Mountain State Park in northern Georgia. I thought it would be fun to go back to back with anniversary trip
Friday Fotos, so you can see a glimpse of what we get to see on these camping trips. Last week’s photo was from Hanging Rock State Park in NC as you may recall, and so this year for #9, we wanted to go somewhere we have not been before, which is a criteria we embrace for all our anniversary trips.
Fort Mountain was fabulous, with perfect weather, beautiful fall foliage, and very little people. The photo above was taken at an overlook just a mile or so from the entrance to the park, which is high atop Fort Mountain, a big enough mountain that you can see it for MILES before you ever get close to it. Quite an impressive piece of rock. This was a stunning view that we enjoyed for almost an hour.
Be on the lookout for a more in depth post about our trip and a link to more photos. If you are into camping, put this one on your list people, it is a place well worth going to!
